All Will Receive the Mark

I’m not one who goes around looking for signs of the end times, but sometimes they just jump out. I stumbled across this article on the CBSnews.com Tech page:

Obama Eyeing Internet ID for Americans

The Obama administration is currently drafting a “National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace.” With it, folks will be offered a “trusted digital identity” which will uniquely identify them on the internet. For now, accepting a digital identity will be optional. But how long do you think it will be before Congress decides that in order to regulate interstate commerce (Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution), it must require, under penalty of fine or imprisonment, the issuance of such identities to everyone? After all, under Obamacare everyone will be forced to purchase health insurance. Do Revelation 13:16-17 come to mind?

Rev 13:16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,
Rev 13:17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

We're not there yet though - a one-world government will be required to dictate it to everyone.

I enjoy the humor I find in daily life. Here's the latest example. Yesterday I replaced a burned-out belt on our vacuum cleaner. I found this on the belt wrapper: "IMPORTANT: Turn vacuum cleaner OFF before replacing belt." I'm so glad I read that, as it kept me from perhaps loosing fingers trying to put the belt on a rapidly-spining motor shaft and connecting the belt to a round beater bar wrapped with vicious brushes!
