Marco Rubio’s Impassioned Senate Speech

Most of the articles posted here are original content with supporting references where appropriate. This post is different, because I can add nothing of value to the content of the speech given by Marco Rubio on the Senate floor on July 31, 2011. Also, those who are familiar with my writing know that I rarely, if ever, use hyperbole. In that context, Senator Rubio’s speech is simply amazing. He is brilliant, passionate, a gifted speaker and a breath of fresh air in Washington. During his speech, he is interrupted a couple of times with questions from democrat John Kerry, and he handles them with ease. I hope Marco Rubio is President Rubio soon - the sooner the better.

I enjoy the humor I find in daily life. Here's the latest example. Yesterday I replaced a burned-out belt on our vacuum cleaner. I found this on the belt wrapper: "IMPORTANT: Turn vacuum cleaner OFF before replacing belt." I'm so glad I read that, as it kept me from perhaps loosing fingers trying to put the belt on a rapidly-spining motor shaft and connecting the belt to a round beater bar wrapped with vicious brushes!
